Inbound process using WMS mobile app

Inbound refers to the process of receiving goods or materials into a warehouse or distribution center. It involves tasks such as unloading shipments, verifying contents, and storing items in the appropriate locations.

The WMS (Warehouse Management System) app efficiently handles the inbound process, overseeing the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods. It ensures accurate recording of shipments, optimizes inventory levels, and supports seamless integration with downstream operations for enhanced supply chain management.

One Step - Received Goods Directly

  • When "One Step - Received Goods Directly" is enabled in the inventory defaults of the sBizzl app settings, the interface simplifies the process of receiving goods.
  • In the One Step process, there are only two statuses: "Notified" and "Completed," simplifying tracking and management.
  • The upper section of the screen exhibits essential details such as the product code, name, notified quantity, and received quantity.
  • Additionally, a "Mark as Completed" button is displayed.
  • Clicking "Mark as Completed" initiates the action, but if the product has not been received, a message prompts the user to first receive the product.
  • To initiate product reception, simply tap on the card displayed above. This action prompts further steps for receiving the product efficiently.
  • Upon selection, the interface for adding product details is launched, facilitating smooth entry of received product information.
  • The upper section of the screen exhibits essential details such as the product code, name, notified quantity, and received quantity.
  • By selecting Location, a modal pops up where users input three letters to access the location list. Alternatively, they can scan the location code using a device camera.
  • Clicking on UOM, opens the unit of measurement list, allowing users to select the appropriate unit for the product.
  • Clicking on Price, opens a modal where users can enter the price of the product.
  • Users can adjust the quantity by sliding the bar or clicking on a specific value to manually enter the quantity via a modal.
  • Users can mark the Quarantine option as Yes if the received quantity is either for quarantine or rejected items.
  • After entering the required details, users can click on the button to receive the quantity.
  • Navigate the receive quantity list screen.
  • The Receive Quantity screen displays information such as the location, quarantine status, and price for the received quantity.
  • Click on Back button to navigate the Order Completed screen.
  • If the received quantity is less than the notified quantity, the received quantity will be displayed in red color.
  • After Clicking on Mark as Completed, If all the quantity is not received, a prompt appears asking the user whether to create a backorder for the non-received quantity.
  • Users have the option to choose whether to create a backorder or not for the non-received quantity.
  • This streamlined process reduces complexity and minimizes the steps required for receiving goods.
  • Mandatory fields ensure accurate recording of received quantities and locations.
  • Optional fields provide flexibility for users based on specific requirements or preferences.
